Guldiner is a large silver coin worth one gold guilder and at the same time the forerunner of the thaler. Coins of this type, this commonly known name, were not given until the beginning of the 16th century from the "Joachimstaler", later called thaler for short, which was minted in the Czech Joachimstal by Count Schlick. The discs called Guldiner were also called Uncialis, because their weight was equivalent to one ounce of Tyrolean weight.
Specimen with corroded surface, but fully legible with all details preserved.
