Characteristic denarius of Bolesław the Tall with a depiction of a fight with a lion, minted in Breslau and dated 1173-1190. Variety with the letters VS on the obverse and a star on the reverse. In the light of the latest research, Prof. Borys Paszkiewicz, it is an abbreviation of the name VLADISLAVS, which was previously interpreted as SA Sanctus Adalbertus.
