Rare issue minted on the occasion of the wedding of the daughter of Augustus III of Saxony, Maria Amalia, with Charles IV of Sicily, ruler of Sicily and Naples, future King of Spain.
On this occasion in 1738 series of commemorative coins was issued by the Dresden mint two groschen, 2/3 thaler and ducats.
