Occasional issue, minted in memory of the Hercules Schiesen shooting competition.
In the case of royal Poland's coinage, it is one of the few clips issued by the Polish ruler.
The shooting thalers were minted in two types and in three years 1697, 1699 and 1705. On the reverse there is figure of Hercules with club, standing in the clouds, facing the hand emerging from the sky, holding wreath.
