"Polskie Radio" Joint Stock Company
First 8% investment loan, £5,000 bond, Warsaw June 25, 1930.
Spectacular, highest rarity bond issued in the Second Republic. Large size (height a little larger than A3), beautiful bordure (so-called "Gardowski ornament"), printing on thick paper.
Denomination of £5,000 now known in 3 pieces.
The issue consisted of three denominations, issued in very small editions:
- £100 - 25 pcs. (issues 54 to 78)
- 1,000 pounds - 10 pcs. (issues 44 to 53)
- 5,000 pounds - 43 pcs. (numbers 01 to 43)
To date, the bond has not appeared in the trade, so this is the first opportunity to acquire this security. The paper is known only from a small number of so-called "old collections", created back in the 1980s. The known pieces that have survived to this day have the following numbers:
- £100 - number 76 (only 1 copy).
- 1,000 pounds - numbers 47 and 48 (2 copies).
- 5,000 pounds - numbers 04, 06 and 10 (3 copies).
The bonds of this issue were among the highest valued assets in the collection of the doyen of Polish collectors of historical securities, Mr. Ryszard Kowalczuk.
Another chance to buy this bond may not happen soon.
We highly recommend it!
