Lands Credit Society in the Kingdom of Poland
4% mortgage bond of the perpetual series - 500 rubles
The Territorial Credit Society in the Kingdom of Poland issued loans in 4% mortgage bonds between 1898 and 1914. Note that this is a 4% perpetual series mortgage letter - 4% letters are much, much rarer than the counted among the very rare 4.5% perpetual series mortgage letters of the Territorial Credit Society in the Kingdom of Poland, which look very similar (the basic difference between the two issues is that the inscription in Polish and Russian: "4% LETTER OF PERMANENT" is printed in red - in contrast to the 4.5% letters, where the inscription "4.5% LETTER OF PERMANENT" was printed in black; the other elements - guilloches, inscriptions, and the color of the subprint are identical for the sections of the same value of 4% and 4.5% letters of pledge of the perpetual series).
The 4% pledge letter offered in this auction was issued on 20.01/1.02.1899.
We particularly recommend it - the piece illustrated in M. Kurek's "Catalogue of Pledge Letters" on page 128 - one of two pieces of this denomination that the author of the catalog reached.
