A rare design, one of the most beautiful Polish banknotes, the issue of which did not live to see its final introduction into circulation, at the same time, the mintage of which was in all likelihood destroyed. Few pieces got out on the market, hence the known quotations are so sporadic.
Extremely rare variant of the design, probably for foreign cash registers with horizontal perforation S P E C I M E N. Marked with Series A ★ and consecutive numbering 1234567. Red printing MODEL on the obverse, on the reverse WITHOUT VALUE.
The unique nature of the piece on display is due to the form it has retained. All pieces known so far with SPECIMEN perforations bear traces of peeling from the presentation cards. The offered specimen is marked with a perfectly legible dry stamp of the Swiss printing house "Art Institut Orell Füssli, Zürich". It is probably a piece from the archives of the printing house, which commits the printing of the entire issue.
On the reverse, in the upper right corner, a numbering suggesting an edition of 1/10(!).
An excellent piece in issue condition.
Unquestionably natural, with perfectly preserved, vivid colors, without traces of any dirt.
A unique value, for the first time offered at auction in Poland in the original form made by the printer.
A great rarity.
