The Corps was established in Lobozow (Kraków area) on October 30, 1918, as the Cadet School, which was renamed Cadet Corps No. 1 on July 25, 1919. In 1921 it was dislocated in Lviv. On March 18, 1933, Marshal Jozef Pilsudski agreed to accept the headship of the corps. At that time, the badge element was changed. On the cadet sun, the numeral 1 (corps number) was replaced by the monogram JP (Jozef Pilsudski). The school provided secondary general education with a mathematical and natural science profile, as well as military training based on the program of infantry cadet schools.
